The Best of the Worst

Every summer Philadelphia presents a great series of juried exhibitions featuring some of the “best” work around. Annually hundreds of artists apply to these shows, easily coughing up $35.00 for the slim possibility of being accepted.  Sadly, only a fraction of work is included due to the “unprecedented” and  “highly competitive” nature of the application pool.

This summer Practice is putting an end this cycle of rejection and dares to ask the question “What could have been?”  Every year we see these shows, and are always a bit dumbfounded by what was accepted, and by what was left out.  “Best of the Worst” only features artists rejected from a Philadelphia summer juried show.  For a mere $10.00, and a rejection letter, all excluded artist are included.  Judiciously juried by Practice member Peter Morgan, this exhibition features a wide array of works by over thirty artists from Delaware Valley and throughout the country.
