Kelly will be taking requests and dedications for your favorite cat videos, lip sync single ladies, and hilarious over-dubs. This is a democratic mix of what the internet has to offer. As the DIY ethos takes hold, what goes viral can be intentional and clever, abrupt and incidental or anachronistic and absurd or freshly fascinating out of its original context. Come equipped with requests!PRACTICE LO-FISaturday June 15thA grouping of local and international artists, loosely embracing a theme of low-technology combined with a highly visual/theatrical prop usage and narrative structure. Highlights include selections by local Wunderkind Leslie Rogers, Harvest by Andy Byers and Jon Peck, Isabella Rossellini’s Green Porno and Seduce Me series, as well as bookending selections from the filmography of George Kuchar and Guy Maddin.PRACTICE PRIDESaturday June 22ndIn conjunction with National LGBT Pride Month, Practice explores expressions of desire, gender identity, sexual orientation, body image, cultural and sub-cultural associations. Here is a grouping by local and international artist whose work examines, addresses and celebrates themes on the LGBT spectrum. Highlights include work by Kris Grey aka Justincredible, Sean Johnson, and Mr./Mrs Keith Murry and Kent Monkman as well as a viewing of Jean Genet’s Un Chant d’Amour and James Bidgood’s Pink Narcissus.Saturday film series start at 2pm and are shown on repeat until 6pm.
