PRACTICE Gallery and Frances Beaver invite you to join us for the inaugural screening of Sex of the Earth. A film where Historical plaques are magical incantations, satire is a fortune teller’s secret menu option, and a Borough Council Member searches for a small Pennsylvanian town’s municipal gender. The approximate running time is 25 minutes.Frances Beaver is a multi-disciplinary artist working primarily with performance, video,and music based in Philadelphia. She was a co-founding member of the artist collective New Boon(e). Her work has been shown at Fringe Arts, the ICA, Icebox Project Space, and Johnny Brenda’s. She received her MFA from the University of Pennsylvania and she received her BFA from Tyler School
