Walk Together: Nina Sarnelle and the iFnf
The Institute for New Feeling and PRACTICE invite you to take a short walk with a stranger.
The Institute for New Feeling (IfNf) is an artist collective founded by Scott Andrew, Agnes Bolt and Nina Sarnelle, committed to the development of new ways of feeling, and ways of feeling new. The Institute offers a rotating menu of wellness treatments, therapies and retreats.
IfNf will provide the treatment Walk Together for a limited engagement on First Friday (May 2nd) and the following Saturday (May 3rd). Walk Together is a 7 minute cardio-meditation that utilizes an audio track in headphones and two Gazelle home exercise machines. Participants are invited to take a physical/virtual walk alongside a stranger, and the audio track leads both people to visualize an intimate interaction between them. This treatment was originally installed for the Institute For New Feeling as part of a temporary exhibition in 937 Gallery, Pittsburgh, and is part of the Institute’s traveling performance series.
Due to the limited two-day engagement, the general public is invited to ensure their spot for Walk Together by signing up for a 15-minute slot on Saturday, May 3rd. Participants will be paired with a stranger to experience the physical/virtual walk. Please email email@example.com to ensure your spot for Walk Together.
At 3pm on Saturday May 3rd, Nina Sarnelle will also give an artist talk touching on different installments of her work with the Institute for New Feeling, her techno-spiritual work with Sisters of the Lattice, and her team-building retreat called group.
