Fire Update

For Immediate ReleaseJune 28, 2017Lee WaltonIn the wake of Tuesday morning’s fire at the 319 Arts building, PRACTICE Gallery wants to express relief that the fire resulted in no injuries and relatively minimal damage to the structure of the building, and our gallery. It is an incredible privilege to be an active part of the 319 Arts community. We are working along with Automat, Great Far Beyond, Grizzly Grizzly, Marginal Utility, Napoleon, Tiger Strikes Asteroid, Vox Populi and the other tenants of the 319 community to quickly pull together and plan for the future. Now, more than ever, is the time to dig in our heels and commit to our ideas, messages, and to our art. PRACTICE will do everything in our power to keep supporting artists and maintain our scheduled exhibitions.  As we sort out our options in the coming days, please know that your support for the displaced galleries and working artists is greatly appreciated and are a testament to Philadelphia’s strength and resilience.

We offer ‘Big Up’s and ‘Thank You’s for the collective efforts, as well as the generosity and kindness so quickly and readily shown by our peers throughout Philadelphia, and, as always:

#THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING THE ARTS

We will keep you updated on upcoming shows and other building news as we get it.

Much Love, Team PRACTICE:

LeighAnn Bogner, Peter Erickson, Jerry Kaba, Peter Morgan, Heather Ossandon, Katie Rauth, Charity Thackston
