Feedback LoopA project by Art/Assembly for CITYWIDEon view at PRACTICE, and online at http://loop.citywidephilly.com/November 1 - 23, 2013

Art/Assembly at PRACTICE invites you to tell us about CITYWIDE.

Feedback Loop is a project created by Art/Assembly as part of CITYWIDE: A Collective Exhibition, the largest collaboration of Philadelphia’s artist community to date. CITYWIDE will feature exhibitions and events created by 26 different artist run spaces and collectives throughout November, 2013.

With Feedback Loop, Art/Assembly encourages conversation by creating a clear and organized digital space to submit and view commentary on the work and curation being presented, a conversation that involves the whole city and brings diverse perspectives. The goal is to have an honest and engaging conversation about CITYWIDE and all its moving parts.

Feedback Loop will serve as an online hub, designed to act as a forum for discussion and commentary on the many CITYWIDE exhibitions and events. A website (http://loop.citywidephilly.com/) and App will be made available to the public, who will be encouraged to submit their commentary and critique of individual pieces, shows, events, or CITYWIDE at large. Feedback Loop will also have a physical hub at Practice Gallery, an information center to learn about the project also equipped with computers and comment boxes to facilitate the feedback process.

The project will culminate in an open conversation between CITYWIDE artists, curators, critics and the audience; on November 23rd, 2013, 5pm @ ART/ASSEMBLY: 3245 Amber st, 4th FloorEvents:November 1st, 6pm-10pmThe opening reception for our physical hub at Practice. Come by and talk to us about the project, pick up some Feedback Loop stationary, and drop your comments in our “Critical Suggestion Box”.November 23rd, 5pm-7pmFeedback Loop: a CITYWIDE PostmortemJoin us for an open and improvised conversation about the work and programming presented during CITYWIDE. CITYWIDE is the most comprehensive showing of the Philadelphia contemporary art scene to date, and it deserves to be discussed and analyzed in it’s successes and failings. The conversation will be based on the most interesting writing submitted to Feedback Loop over the course of the month, and will involve the artists and curators responsible for the work, critics, and the audience.Stay in the loop and stay in touch!  Visit us at http://loop.citywidephilly.com/ to join the dialogue!citywide_logo_smCITYWIDE is the recipient of a 2013 Knight Arts Challenge grant and is organized collaboratively by Vox Populi, Space 1026, Little Berlin, Tiger Strikes Asteroid, Grizzly Grizzly, Marginal Utility, NAPOLEON, Fjord, Mt.
